Chinese tea and cancer
The evidence that Chinese tea help prevent cancer is overwhelming. Since the 1990s, hundreds of studies have been performed showing that tea can inhibit the formation of tumors and slowing the growth of those already formed.
Here are some examples of what the studies on cancer have demonstrated:
Chinese tea and breast cancer: researchers have long noted that breast cancer is much less common in countries where Green tea is consumed regularly. A Japanese study found a decreased risk of recurrence for patients with cancer at an early stage who drank at least three cups of green tea. This suggests at least the possibility that regular consumption of green tea may help prevent recurrence breast cancer cases at an early stage. A Chinese study found that women who consumed at least 26 ounces of green tea leaves per year had a risk reduced by 39 percent of breast cancers compared with non-drinkers. Twenty-six ounces of dried leaves per year is equivalent to only 300 cups of green tea during a year, which equalsless
one cup per day.
Chinese tea and lung cancer: a study published in 2003 revealed that smokers who drank four cups of decaffeinated green tea daily showed decrease by 31 percent - in biomarkers of oxidative damage to DNA white blood cells compared to those who drank four cups of water. Oxidative DNA damage is involved in the development of various forms of cancer. A 2007 study in the Journal of Inflammation found that black tea has a positive effect of prevention. In this study, Guinea pigs were subject to exposure to cigarette smoke and given water or black tea to drink. Cigarette smoke, it goes without saying, has caused damage Guinea pig lung, which was prevented when they were given infusions of black tea to drink instead of water.

He is difficult to obtain reliable figures on the caffeine content, but this is probably not altogether wrong to say that the average cup of tea Oolong, properly prepared, has about half as much caffeine as a cup of black tea, and about half again as much as a cup green tea. The difference comes mainly from the brew temperature, not the taste of tea itself.
Although they combine the characteristics black and green teas, the flavor has little in common with one or the other. Unless over-brewed, most oolong show almost no trace of bitterness, and generally a strong odor that almost all green or black tea.
Like other tea, Oolong tea is rich in antioxidants called polyphenols. These help prevent cancer, keep the heart healthy and aid general well-being.
Despite all this, until Recently, it was terribly difficult to find Oolong tea almost anywhere in Britain outside of Chinatown, the occasional Oriental grocers, and a small number of specialist tea houses. It is now slowly changing.
