A look at alternative medicine and conventional medicine
Alternative medicine and other therapies are therapeutic practices which are not currently considered an integral part of conventional medicine. Conventional medicine is the current conventional medical system diagnosis and treatment of disease.
However, an increasing desire for wellness, in response to the stressful life of today and the impact growing cancer, illness and disease, has led to the growing demand for alternative medicines and therapies. It is true that many people are more disappointed by conventional medicine and medicinal approach to healing.
What is the difference between conventional medicine and medicine alternative? In general, conventional medicine tends to focus on the disease and employs techniques to treat it. It considers the body as a war zone where battles against invading organisms are fought and won or lost. It focuses more on techniques, the reactions of chemical technology, can be measured, statistically proven and documented. The treatment is on the body part that shows symptoms or disease.
On the other hand, alternative medicine tends to be "holistic", where the health of an individual is considered as a whole and treatment not only focused on the symptoms. Alternative medicine employ "natural" methods to aid the healing powers of the body to return to state of health. The treatment is holistic, that it takes into account all aspects of a patient and not just on the health symptoms knows.
Contrary to popular belief, alternative medicine has a history longer than conventional medicine. Much alternative medicine is derived from ancient healing techniques. For example, the use of herbs is practiced around the world for a long time; whether in India as ayurvedic medicine in China as traditional Chinese medicine or used as aromatherapy which dates back to antiquity Egyptian.
There is a full range of complementary and alternative medicine therapies. They include acupuncture, energy healing, hypnosis, flower essences therapy, EFT, Homeopathy, etc. - all designed to restore the body to balance and thus help a person to achieve well-being.
It seems that after the above explanations, alternative medicine is superior conventional medicine. This is not an accurate view of all health situations.
Conventional medicine, in fact, have a place in treatment of health. Conventional medical interventions such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and antibiotics do provide benefits. They can prevent death, pain and giving people hope to walk again, to provide immediate relief, and also give a new body in place of a functioning patient and a patient.
In addition, alternative practitioners do not condemn altogether conventional medical practices. Their belief is somewhat different, however. Whether these traditional medical interventions should not be the first choice of treatment, as is often. The point is that most tend to look natural or alternative medicine as a last resort. Search for a holistic treatment as a last resort for health and life is not a very good idea that alternative medicine is time to show the benefits of positive healing.
For the general public, I guess it is important realize that there are more than one title in the aspect of health. Fortunately, with the advent of the global health movement in the two recent decades, an increasing number of conventional doctors now recognize that health is more than the absence of disease.
Much medical practice of physicians 'integration' of medicine, where they combine research-supported alternative medical treatments with the best conventional allopathic medicine. This is perhaps the best way forward. The overall objective to address in today's environment and tomorrow is the highest level of health, in short, well-being.
